How To Use HubSpot's Analytics Tools [Vlog]

Marketers in businesses new to HubSpot, whether they're switching from WordPress or any other CRM, often have to relearn the ropes inside their Marketing portal. If you're in that boat, then getting over the initial HubSpot learning curve can be kind of stressful. While the main navigation is easy enough to learn, it can be difficult to grasp the full functionality of each tool included in the portal—especially with regard to analytics.

Knowing where are your leads coming from and which of your efforts are succeeding is a major part of any marketing strategy. HubSpot's new Analytics Tools make it very easy to determine traffic sources and your highest performing website pages. Check out this video tutorial to see the tools in action.

What are the Featues of HubSpot Traffic Analytics?

HubSpot's updated Traffic Analytics tool allows marketers to get a granular, all-time view of all traffic sources to their website, including:

  • Organic search results
  • Referral sources
  • Social media
  • Email marketing efforts
  • Direct traffic
  • Other campaigns

Within each of these options, users can sort their pages, referrers and overall sources by sessions, conversion rate, new contacts, bounce rate and—my favorite new option—the average session length. Additionally, the updated tool provides an easy-to-use dashboard for topic clusters, pages and advanced reports.

All of this information is incredibly valuable in determining where your high quality traffic is coming from and areas you should focus on to create more of that kind of traffic.
